Applying for a Turkey Visa Online as a US Citizen

How does one apply for a Turkey Visa online if they are a US citizen? It’s quite simple, actually. If you’re planning on traveling to Turkey and want to make sure you’ve got everything in order before your trip, this article will give you all the information you need to quickly and easily apply for your Turkey Visa online, as well as provide some additional information about what else you might need in order to obtain it. Here’s what you need to know

What is a Tourist Visa?

A tourist visa is a special type of travel document that allows citizens of certain countries to enter Turkey, one of Europe’s most popular holiday destinations. If you are planning on visiting Turkey or if you have recently been traveling to Turkey and are currently in possession of a current Turkish visa but would like to apply for additional Turkish visas in order to extend your stay, it’s important that you understand what is needed from you. A Turkish tourist visa only permits foreign visitors entry into Turkey; it does not give them permission to work or live in Turkey without first applying for residency there. Tourist visas last for up to 90 days and do not allow more than three entries within their duration. The requirements listed below apply specifically to Americans applying for their first-ever Turkish tourist visa. Turkey Visa for US Citizens

Where do I get my visa?

You will have to register your Turkey Visa Online and then you can print it out and bring it with you when traveling. Depending on which country you are from, there are different ways of registering your visa. For instance, if you are an American citizen, you can get your visa by clicking here. If you’re British, click here. For Canadians, click here.

Is it safe to apply online?

According to Turkey’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, you can complete your Turkish visa application at any of Turkey’s diplomatic and consular missions abroad, or at special passport offices in several major cities. Some countries have made it mandatory that you apply online; however, if you wish to do so, you must first check with your country’s embassy or consulate in Istanbul. To be on the safe side, I would also call your local Turkish embassy to double-check their stance on online applications. The benefits of applying online are speed and convenience: When I applied for my own Turkish visa recently (after mailing in my form), my entire application process took less than 24 hours.

What if I get denied?

If you are denied at any point in your application process, you will have to reapply. This means that all application materials must be re-submitted and that your fingerprints will have to be taken again. These costs are on top of what you have already spent and are unavoidable. If your visa is denied because of an error on your part or if you provide false information during your application process, then there may be further complications down the line when applying again – some paperwork might even need to be completed in person! It’s always best to avoid these issues from happening by double-checking all documentation before submitting it.
