The New Zealand Embassy in Bahrain is now issuing New Zealand visas for citizens of Bahrain. This follows the announcement by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade that New Zealand will resume issuing visas to nationals of Taiwan. The visa-on-arrival facility is now available at both Auckland and Wellington airports for Taiwan passport holders who arrive by air. What is a New Zealand visa?
A New Zealand visa is a document issued by the New Zealand Immigration Service that allows a person to enter and reside in New Zealand. How to apply for a New Zealand visa?
If you are a citizen of Bahrain and want to visit or reside in New Zealand, you will need to apply for a visa. The visa application process can be complicated and time-consuming, so we recommend that you contact an immigration advisor if you are interested in applying for a New Zealand visa.
There are two types of New Zealand visas available to citizens of Bahrain: a tourism visa and a residence permit. To qualify for a tourism visa, you must meet the following requirements: NEW ZEALAND VISA FOR TAIWAN CITIZENS
You must have valid travel documents (such as your passport) that show that you are travelling to New Zealand for pleasure and not for work or study.
You must have enough money to support yourself while in New Zealand. You cannot apply for a visitor visa if you are carrying any unpaid debts or fines from previous visits to New Zealand.
To qualify for a residence permit, you must meet the following requirements:

Requirements for a New Zealand visa?
New Zealand citizens can apply for a visa to visit Bahrain. If you are a New Zealand citizen, you do not need a visa if you are travelling as part of an organised tour group or if your stay is short-term (less than six months). However, if you are travelling on your own or with a companion who is not a New Zealand citizen, you will need to obtain a visa.
To apply for a Bahrain visa, you will need the following:
-A passport valid for at least six months beyond the period of your planned stay in Bahrain
-A current passport-style photo that meets the requirements of Bahrain’s passport photograph requirement
-Proof of travel arrangements (e.g. airline tickets)
-Proof of sufficient funds to cover your expenses during your visit (USD200 per person, per month)
How long does it take to get a New Zealand visa?
If you are a Bahrain citizen and want to travel to New Zealand, it will take about two weeks to get a visa. If you are a foreigner, it will take about four days to get a visa.
What are the costs for a New Zealand visa?
The cost for a New Zealand visa for Bahrain citizens is NZD 1,500 and for a New Zealand visa for non-Bahrain citizens the cost is NZD 3,000. The application process takes around four weeks, and there are no restrictions on the number of visas that can be issued per year.
How to get a New Zealand passport?
There are a few steps that need to be followed in order to get a New Zealand passport. The first step is to find an authorized passport application centre. There are many centres across the country, and most are open Monday-Friday from 8am to 4:30pm. You will need to provide your name, date of birth, gender, and citizenship information. After providing this information, you will be required to take a mental health test. If you are under the age of 16, you will also need to provide a photocopy of your ID card or driver’s licence. After completing these required documents, you will be given an appointment time and location where you will have your passport application processed.
The second step is to visit the Passport Office in person. The Passport Office is located at 125 Queen Street in Auckland. The office hours are Monday-Friday from 9am to 4:30pm, and they close at 5pm on Fridays. You will need to provide your full name as it appears on your identification document (i.e., driver’s licence), as well as your date of birth and gender. After providing this information, you will be asked for several pieces of documentation that prove your identity and residency in New Zealand. These documents can include a utility bill or bank statement from within the past six months, a recent photo identification such as a driver’s licence or passport picture (2cm x 2cm), proof of income such as payslip or tax return

If you are a Bahrain national who wants to visit New Zealand for tourism or business purposes, then you will need a valid New Zealand visa.
