Netherlands Citizenship and Green Card

Indian citizens wishing to reside in the Netherlands and work, study or invest there can apply for a Dutch residency permit. The procedure is straightforward and requires only a proof of regular income and no criminal record.    To qualify for a Dutch residency permit, an applicant must have lived in the Netherlands for at least two years prior to applying and must meet other requirements such as language competency. If you are already living in the Netherlands on a residence permit issued by another European Union country, you may be able to convert your permit into a Dutch one.   If you are not already living in the Netherlands, applying for a Dutch residency permit will allow you to live and work in the country without having to wait for sponsorship from a Dutch citizen or company. Additionally, if you are married to a Dutch citizen, you can apply for a residence permit even if you do not have any ties to the Netherlands. Portuguese citizens also have the ability to reside and work in the Netherlands without having to obtain a visa. Although Portuguese visas are not required for tourists, they are necessary if you wish to work or study in the Netherlands.

Portuguese Citizenship and Immigration in Portugal

As of 1 January 2013, Portuguese citizens can apply for a Dutch visa. This applies to all EU/EEA citizens, except for British and Irish citizens. Applicants must have a valid passport and visa from their home country. The Dutch embassy in Lisbon is the competent authority for issuing visas.
