Step by Step Guide

The form must be completed as per instructions and following a step-by-step guide. An application fee is required and every section must be correctly filled out. To apply for a Canadian visa you will need valid travel documents, proof of relationship if applicable, and supporting documents which may include a birth certificate, sponsor letter (if applicable), and employment letter (if applying for a visitor visa). In order to fill out an online application, you will need a credit card that supports one-time payments from MasterCard or Visa-type service.
Where do I start?
The Canadian Visa Online Application is a great way for those who are living abroad and want to come back home but require a temporary entry visa. The requirements for a Canadian visa vary from person to person, however one thing remains constant; you need to have your biometrics taken in order for your application process to go ahead. If you’re not sure how to go about doing that, here’s what you need in order to make sure that it all goes smoothly
What do I need?
Documents required for a Canadian Visa Online application differ depending on whether you are making your application from within Canada or outside of Canada. If you are inside Canada, then you need to submit proof of your identity and proof of residency. In addition, your criminal record check must be no more than six months old, and it must indicate that you have not been convicted of any crimes involving security, human rights violations, organized crime, or terrorism. Outside of Canada, however, applicants need only a copy of their passport photo page and travel plans with flight confirmation showing dates for travel into and out of Canada. Applicants also must provide proof that they can support themselves while in Canada as well as evidence that they meet certain health conditions. For all Canadians applying for visas online, there is an additional requirement: fingerprints.
How long does it take?
The application can take up to 3-4 weeks for processing. The process for approval varies depending on your country of origin, how busy visa offices are in Canada and if you need a medical exam.
